Best Practice Transfer – Results of the first Company Study in Germany

For the first time the TOP 500 companies in Germany have been surveyed regarding their current state of application of internal Best Practice Transfer.

The study focused on the most important elements of the Best Practice Transfer: The BPT-Process with its steps, tools and instruments as well as supporting factors. The role of Top-Management and the use of Change Management techniques was gatherd. Furthermore a detailed comparison of BPT-Programme with similar Management-Techniques like improvements schemes, Idea management, KAIZEN, Process optimization / Re-engineering, EFQM, SixSigma, Standardizaton, Knowledge Management, Certifikation / ISO 9000ff.).

The study shows the current status of Internal Best Practice Transfer in large companies in Germany, data about costs and benefits of BPT and provide suggestions regarding the effective realisaion of company-wide knowledge transfer.
